Water Help & Local Fun

TOGETHER WITH

☀️SBC! Last week reminded me of how much community matters. From neighbors stepping up to help during the water issues to fun local happenings popping up around town, there’s still plenty of good going on around town.

So, happy Monday, grab your coffee, and let’s check out what’s going on around SBC this week!

In this issue, we’ll shine light on:

  • Pollen has taken over

  • Massages that come to your living room

  • Shreveport Volunteer Network does what they do best

Let’s get our shine on!

If you live around SBC this time of year, you know the struggle. You can wash your car, step inside for 20 minutes, and walk back out to find it covered in that unmistakable yellow dust again. Yep, spring has arrived and so has allergy season. Sneezing, itchy eyes, and that constant layer of pollen are just part of life around here this time of year.

Thankfully, local spots like Apotheworx are here to help. Located at 429 Crockett St, Apotheworx specializes in personalized wellness solutions, including allergy support tailored to your body. They offer natural remedies, supplements, and customized options designed to help you manage seasonal allergies and feel your best.

Instead of battling allergy season alone, it is a great reminder to support a local business focused on helping our community stay healthy. Your sinuses and your neighbors will thank you.

Shreveport Steps Up: Water Given Out

Shreveport Volunteer Network quickly stepped-up last week following a major water main break in Shreveport. The group organized a last-minute water distribution across multiple locations, helping residents access clean drinking water during the disruption. Volunteers worked throughout the day to ensure supplies reached the community, and every bottle was given out. Thanks to their fast response and community support, hundreds of residents received much needed relief during the unexpected outage.
