The Everything Warm Donation Drive is in full swing, helping keep our community cozy this holiday season. Donations will be distributed on December 13th for Feed the Homeless – Shreveport, and any extra contributions will go to The Hub: Urban Ministry.

Shreveport Lands Free Summer Concert Series!

Shreveport just scored a big win: a national Levitt Foundation grant that’ll bring free live concerts to Caddo Common Park! SRAC plans to launch the Levitt AMP Music Series in summer 2026 with a fun mix of artists and music styles everyone can enjoy. The full lineup will be announced in January, but it’s already shaping up to be a huge summer boost for our community. Free music, local vibes, good times… yes, please!

✍🏼 Side Notes & City Talk

Shreveport’s mayor is proposing a 2026 budget that gives city employees a raise and boosts support for police and fire staff. The plan also includes major equipment upgrades, like new police vehicles, medic units, and garbage trucks.

Louisiana is the first state to get final approval for $1.36B in broadband funding to expand high-speed internet. This will bring reliable access to thousands of underserved homes and communities.

Bossier Parish Community College earned a national Caring Campus award for its commitment to creating a welcoming, student-focused environment.
