Local Girls Raise Funds for Camp Mystic Flood Victims

This weekend, local kids took action to support those impacted by the Camp Mystic floods. Ella Hayes and Summer were attending nearby Camp Waldemar when the flooding hit—close enough that their own time at camp was cut short. Thankfully, all Waldemar campers were safe, but the girls wanted to help their neighbors at Mystic who faced greater loss. So far, they’ve raised over $200 to donate, with more support still coming in. Great job, girls!

By focusing on vocational skills and removing traditional barriers, BPCC paves a pathway to stable employment and brighter futures for community members who’ve hit life’s setbacks.
