🎓Dual Degrees, Double the Pride!
Woodlawn High's Largest Early College Graduating Class Makes History

In a remarkable milestone for education in Shreveport, 19 seniors from Woodlawn High School have walked across two stages this year. These honor students earned not only their high school diplomas but also associate degrees from Southern University at Shreveport (SUSLA) through the Early College Program.
By taking college-level courses both online and on campus, these students embraced the challenge of higher education early—and excelled. It’s the largest group in Woodlawn’s history to achieve this impressive dual accomplishment.
Cheers to these inspiring graduates—you’ve made your school, your city, and your future proud!
🎤 Local Grad Drops Debut Single
Haughton High valedictorian Kylie Small isn't just topping her class—she's also making her music debut with "Them Boys." After sharing videos on TikTok, Kylie signed with a Nashville music agency and has been working with top songwriters to bring her music to life.
She performed the single at Hurricane Alley right after graduation and is heading to Belmont University to study music business.

⚾ Pilots Punch Ticket to the NAIA World Series
LSU Shreveport Baseball is headed to the Avista-NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho! The top-ranked Pilots continued their undefeated season (54-0) with a 9–6 win over Mid-America Christian, securing the Shreveport Bracket Championship.
A five-run third inning—powered by Ryan Davenport, Vantrel Reed, and a three-run blast from Ian Montz—set the tone early. Isaac Rohde improved to 14–0 on the mound, and Brock Lucas locked things down with a 3.2-inning save.
The Pilots now set their sights on bringing home a title from Idaho. Let’s go, LSUS! 💪💜💛
