“What motivated me to start On the Bright Side? Honestly… I was just tired of reading the news and feeling like I needed a nap, a snack, and a U-Haul. Everywhere I looked, it was negativity overload, and I couldn’t help but think, “Where’s the good stuff?”

Shreveport-Bossier is full of amazing people doing amazing things—neighbors helping neighbors, small businesses making big impacts, and stories that deserve more than just a passing moment. I wanted to create a space where those feel-good moments could shine, where people could scroll and smile, and where we could all feel a little more connected.

On the Bright Side is a small way to bring a little light into our local world—because there’s plenty of good out there, and I think we could all use a little less drama and a little more of those awesome moments, like when crawfish hits $3.99/lb.”
