🌕 Rare Sky Event Monday Night!

Get ready to look up! Monday evening, the first supermoon of 2025, aka the Harvest Moon, will rise, peaking at 10:47 PM. It will appear about 30% brighter and 14% larger than a typical full moon, making it a stunning sight in the night sky.

At the same time, the Draconid meteor shower kicks off, according to NASA. While the bright supermoon may make it tricky to catch lots of meteors, you might still spot a few streaks across the sky. Even if the meteors are hard to see, it’s a rare combination you won’t want to miss. Step outside Monday night, take in the glow, and enjoy a little bit of cosmic magic right above Shreveport-Bossier!
