Feasts, Fun, and Festive Finds!

TOGETHER WITH
☀️SBC! This week’s edition is full of fun stuff you won’t want to miss! You can pre-order your Thanksgiving feast, check out some awesome neighborhood revitalizations, and get in on the city-wide Elf on the Shelf Hunt that kicks off this week. Plus, we’ve rounded up a bunch of upcoming events to keep your calendar busy and your days a little brighter.
Before we go further, I’d like to take a moment to send all prayers and condolences to everyone impacted by the passing of Vivian Police Officer, Marc Brock. On Nov. 16, the community gathered at North Caddo High School to honor fallen officer. 💙 You can help support his family through their meal train here.
In this edition, we’ll shine light on:
Taking it easy at Thanksgiving (let someone else cook)
Meeting the Chickadees
Elf on the Shelf found a bigger venue to explore
Let’s get our shine on!

Meet Your Neighbors
☀️Local Spotlight: The Chickadees ☀️

Ellie, Posy, and Evie
If you need a little joy today, The Chickadees will handle that. This sweet trio of Shreveport girls has been playing together for about two and a half years. They all happened to take lessons from the same teacher, they were already friends, and their teacher said, “Why don’t y’all play together?” Instant band, instant magic.
Meet the girls:
• Ellie, 11 plays ukulele
• Posy, 10 plays U-Bass and ukulele
• Evie, 11 plays ukulele
Their favorite part of performing? One loves the cheering, one loves playing with her best friends, and one just likes seeing people smile. Adorable.
Where you’ve seen them:
Ki Mexico, Frank’s Pizza, The Glass Hat, plus bigger stages like The Revel and the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival.
They’re spending the rest of the year learning new music, and I can’t wait to hear what they do next.
