Bright Side Smarts?

TOGETHER WITH

☀️SBC! We pray you had an AWESOME Easter Weekend! Hopefully, you enjoyed time off and dipped into some local events to celebrate. With our time off, we’ve been thinking…

Should we bring back Bright Side Smarts (Weekly Trivia)? If so, drop where you want to see us go!

For the new subscribers: new week, new trivia question, new winner to a local spot. :)

Login or Subscribe to participate in polls.

❗️ALSO! Don’t forget about our Active Donation Campaign. We would love to help support this incredible initiative for local students:

In this issue, we’ll shine light on:

  • Mall St Vincent’s latest tenant

  • Bright Side Impact’s first public volunteer event

  • Ribbon Cutting for the Community School

Let’s get our shine on!

There’s some exciting momentum building at Mall St. Vincent, and it’s something our whole community can get behind. 👏

SBC and surrounding areas, you’re officially invited to join the fun on April 11th from 1-5PM as the mall welcomes its newest tenant, Wilcott Marketplace Boutique 👠 with a Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Expect a live DJ, food trucks, swag bags, giveaways, and even permanent jewelry (sounds like a good time all around)!

It’s refreshing to see positive activity and new energy being poured back into a space so many of us grew up visiting. Big shoutout to mall management for working to bring more life and opportunity into the area.

If we want to see more of this, it starts with us showing up, supporting local, and spreading the word. Keep an eye out… this is just the beginning of what’s to come!

Bright Side Impact has teamed up with No Ceilings CrossFit for April's Volunteer Event of the Month… which means yes, there’s a workout,

BUT hear us out…

Come for the FREE workout at 10:00 AM, then stay for the community cleanup at 11:30 AM.

It’s all part of Love the Boot Week and celebrating America’s 250th birthday… so basically, it’s patriotic to show up. Bring a friend, your kids, or just yourself.

Let’s do something good and maybe break a little sweat while we’re at it! :)

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor for an upcoming Bright Side Impact volunteer event, please reply or send inquiry here. There are LIMITED spots left for 2026!

☀️ This Week’s Happy Highlights

A New Chapter for a Historic School

Since 1968, the Bossier City Optimist Club has supported local youth through scholarships, grants, and partnerships with organizations like Bossier Kids, the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank, and more. For more info, click here.
