Discover Apotheworx: Your Neighborhood Pharmacy with a Personal Touch
If you’ve been craving pharmacy care that actually centers on you (not just your prescriptions) Apotheworx is your new best friend in downtown Shreveport. Founded by Heidi Cram, Pharm.D., this modern, independent pharmacy strips away the insurance middleman to offer transparent, competitive pricing and concierge-style service that feels more heartfelt than transactional.
Imagine this: same-day fills or free delivery right to your doorstep, automatic 90-day refills, immunizations, personalized wellness consultations, AND even pet medications. Members enjoy 24/7 access to pharmacists, seamless prescription transfers, and one-on-one health planning. Fun fact: you don’t HAVE to be a member to get services, but it has its perks!
Set in a beautifully revamped space on Crockett Street, the pharmacy’s tranquil ambiance with spa-like touches and a cozy coffee bar (sounds more like self-care instead of a chore.)
Whether you’re switching or just stopping by, Apotheworx delivers health care with kindness and its only steps away.

☀️ This Week’s Happy Highlights
🥣 Empty Bowls Fills Hearts and Helps Fight Hunger

Source: KTBS
The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana hosted its annual Empty Bowls Hunger Awareness event Thursday at Bally’s Shreveport Casino & Hotel Grand Ballroom, raising more than $100,000 for hunger relief. Guests enjoyed a simple meal and an auction of hand-painted bowls, goods, and services. Each guest left with a ceramic bowl as a reminder of the empty bowls in our community and the power of coming together to fight hunger.
Black Tie Night with Huge Impact this Week
LSU Health Shreveport will host its 14th annual Evening for Healers gala on Sept. 11 at the Shreveport Convention Center. This black-tie fundraiser honors first responders, physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals who save lives across north Louisiana. Since its start, the event has spotlighted 29 patient stories, recognized more than 930 heroes, and raised over $4 million for critical healthcare initiatives. Proceeds from this year’s gala will support mission-driven projects. Tickets: lsuhsfoundation.org/healers.
Tiger Tuba Kent: Marching into History
At 66, Kent Broussard is making LSU history as the oldest member of the Golden Band from Tigerland. A dream sparked at age nine finally came true after years of training, studying, and sheer determination. Kent has returned LSU as a freshman, practiced his tuba daily, and passed his audition with flying colors. How awesome (and precious) is that? Take a look at his story!
